Water Fast

Day 1: I started a water fast yesterday May 19, 2010 weighing exactly 156.4 pounds. I had obvious hunger pains all day that I tried my best to soothe with cold water and minty gum as well as about 3 coconut pills to take care of my immune system throughout the day. I also went for an hour walk around the beach with my boyfriend. I successfully did not eat all day! 

Day 2: I woke up around 3 AM with extreme nausea and ended up throwing up water and a yellow liquid which could have been stomach acid I don’t really know. After that I actually felt a little bit better and woke up at 10 AM. I realized that I could not make it through this beautiful weather without something so I whipped up a toasted slice of wheat bread topped with peanut butter and banana slices. It really was delicious and filling. Then I went to a pet festival at the park and walked around til about 3 PM. My sister bought me a slice of cheese pizza from Domino’s which I gladly accepted. When I got home I weighed myself and it read 153.4. Went for another short walk at the beach and once my boyfriend gets out of work at 8:30 PM we’re gonna do the 100 challenge.

For those of you who don’t know why I’m doing this, my prom is May 24th and my dress does not zipper all the way. Fasting causes you to lose about 12 pounds in a mere 5-6 days.

lie flat on the floor with your hands under your butt, then lift your legs in the air as high as you can. slowly lower them but don’t let them touch the floor. that’s how to do a “leg lift” according to the 100 challenge!
